Code of Conduct

A grounded, trauma‑aware guide for safe participation.

1. Purpose

This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for all participants engaging in services delivered by movewithme.withjuanita, including movement coaching, group facilitation, workshops, online sessions, and community events. It ensures a safe, respectful, culturally grounded, and trauma‑aware environment for everyone.

2. Respectful Behaviour

Participants agree to engage respectfully with the facilitator and others, honouring emotional, cultural, and physical boundaries. This includes listening, allowing space, and communicating with care.

3. Zero‑Tolerance for Abuse or Harm

movewithme.withjuanita does not tolerate:

verbal abuse
physical aggression
sexual harassment or misconduct
emotional or psychological abuse
bullying, intimidation, or threats
discriminatory or culturally unsafe behaviour
harassment in any form (in‑person or online)

Any harmful behaviour may result in immediate removal or termination of services.

4. Confidentiality & Privacy

Participants agree to respect the privacy of others by:

not sharing personal stories outside the session
not recording, filming, or taking screenshots
ensuring their online environment is private

This protects the emotional and cultural safety of the group.

5. Recording & Media Boundaries

Recording, filming, screenshots, or audio capture are strictly prohibited unless prior written consent is given by movewithme.withjuanita. movewithme.withjuanita will never record without clear consent.

6. Respect for Venue & Property

Participants agree to respect community facilities, equipment, and shared spaces. Any intentional damage or unsafe behaviour may result in removal and reimbursement for damages.

7. Safe Participation

Participants agree to:

move within their limits
pause or modify when needed
inform the facilitator of relevant health conditions
ensure their space is safe (online or in‑person)

This supports physical and emotional safety.

8. Online Conduct

For online sessions, participants agree to:

join from a private space
avoid disruptive behaviour
keep cameras on where possible (optional for trauma‑aware reasons)
follow facilitator guidance

movewithme.withjuanita may remove participants from online sessions if behaviour becomes unsafe or disruptive.

9. Cultural Safety

Participants agree to uphold cultural respect by:

honouring diverse cultural identities and practices
avoiding culturally insensitive language or behaviour
respecting spiritual beliefs and expressions

This ensures a safe and inclusive environment for all.

10. Right to Pause, Remove, or Terminate

To maintain safety, movewithme.withjuanita reserves the right to:

pause a session
ask a participant to step out
remove someone from an online call
end a session early
suspend or terminate ongoing services

These actions will only occur when behaviour impacts the wellbeing or safety of others.

11. Agreement to the Code

By participating in any service delivered by movewithme.withjuanita, you acknowledge and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. This Code supports a shared commitment to safety, respect, and community wellbeing.
